'Contemporary Contexts' Festival of Talks: 10 ON-LINE LIVE sessions
'Contemporary Contexts' Festival of Talks conducted by Dr Julie Anne Denton
10x 1 hour LIVE ONLINE sessions (2 per week)
Contemporary Contexts is a festival of talks designed to give an overview of the glass art scene across the world from a wide variety of different perspectives. A lot of people learning the art of glass may not have had a formal art education, they may be struggling with their creativity and some may want to learn what curators are looking for. With these important things in mind Dr Julie Anne Denton has designed a series of talks which will take place live via zoom to help inform YOU further about the meaning of creativity and how one can learn it, about the contemporary glass industry from the artist to the factory CEO and about the history of our trade.
This x10 one hour LIVE talk series features the likes of Shane Fero, Silvia Levenson, Emilio Santini and the Harry Potter illustrator Cliff Wright to name but a few. The live talks will take place every Monday and Friday afternoon (UK), from Mid-September until Mid-October. For those who may not have attended a classic education in glass making and its history - this is GOLD for you.
All talks will be recorded and are available for participants to enjoy until the end of the year
