21 April 2017 - Spinner Rings with Joy Funnell
Spinner Rings with Joy Funnell
21 April 2017 (Friday)
Spinner rings, fidget rings, worry rings...call them what you like, but there is something endlessly fascinating about twiddling a pretty little band of silver decorated with sparkling stones round and round on your finger!
In this fun one day workshop you will learn how to make the two separate rings of a spinner ring so one is inside the other. We'll add lovely textures to both rings, carve edges and create super smooth tactile finishes, then set 2mm stones into the ring for added sparkly bling. You'll go home wearing your own unique creation.
This spinner ring does not use any premade rings, you will make everything in Art Clay Silver.
In this workshop you will learn:
How to make an outer ring band
How to make an inner ring band
How to make rings with strong seamless joins
How to set stones
How to make small items of decoration
How to finish work to a high standard with rounded smooth edges
Use of additional tools and equipment, 20g of Art Clay Silver and fireable stones are included in the class fee. A light lunch and refreshments will also be provided.
Skill Level: Previous metal clay experience advantageous
