Venetian Style Vessels with Erna Piechna
10-12 September 2020 (Thur/Fri/Sat, 3 days) - New Date TBA
Twisted and rhythmically placed lines, baffling bubble patterns and many other intriguing designs define the Venetian style, which usually can only be found in a glass blowing environment.
In this class we will explore the Venetian expression and develop methods to obtain these with the glass fusing technique. We will build semi-finished components at the Vitrigraph kiln, create elements with regular bubble patterns, experiment with special applications of stringers and stringer sheet glass and much more. You will be able to create shallow and deep vessels, which ultimately can hardly be differentiated from blown pieces.
Projects
Two vessels or bowls
