Bubble Effect - For Lead Bearing Frit Colours - c.250g

A versatile powder which can be mixed with your preferred glass powdered frit eg. Bullseye, OPTUL, Oceanside etc., to create bubbles during the firing process.  It is important to check the manufacturer's information or product label of your chosen frit colour to ensure you select the correct bubble powder, (either lead-bearing or lead-free), to create the best results when mixing with your coloured glass frit.

This product: Bubbles for Lead Bearing Colours – 250g – enough to mix with 1.25kg of colour (ratio 20% bubble powder)

Alternative product available: Bubbles for Lead Free Colours – 100g – enough to mix with 2kg of colour (ratio 5% bubble powder)

The above ratios are suggestions only.  Test firing samples should be made to gauge the results with your chosen brand/colour, ratio and firing schedule.

Instructions:

·         Use dry - do not add a liquid medium or oil to the product. 

·         Ensure you select the correct lead-bearing or lead-free bubble product to match the lead content of your coloured frit.

·         Mix well with coloured glass frits, of a fine or powdered grade, and sandwich the sifted material between 2 layers of glass.

·         Kiln fire on a typical schedule for your glass project.
