MASTERCLASS: The Interaction of Colour & Shape with Frank Van Den Ham

5 - 9 November 2019 (Tuesday to Saturday)

In this 5-day workshop Frank Van Den Ham – a well-known artist with over 35 years’  experience - will inspire you to explore new realms with your glasswork.  New forms and shapes, new techniques, moulds, how to give spectacular shapes to your fused piece – even without a mould; it is all part of this workshop!  If you are an experienced fuser, or would like to challenge yourself more, then this is a workshop for you.

Frank’s work has been inspired by his numerous travels, in particular, his stay in South Africa and his current work base in Indonesia.  These impressions have also laid the foundation for his publications, Ubuntu and Pahis Manis.  His profound sense of colour and shape make him a true master of his trade.  His capacity to share with other glass workers and students – demonstrated in his many video tutorials – has and will contribute towards the glass art world immensely.  Frank van den Ham’s work is shown in a great number of public collections throughout the world.

Having him teach a masterclass at our studios is a great privilege.  We are happy to invite you to get to know a fantastic artist and masterly teacher.

Places will be restricted to a maximum of 8 participants to allow enough individual time for each student and for Frank to impart his vast knowledge!
