13 Feb 2016 - Chain Sampler Workshop with Joy Funnell
Chain Sampler with Joy Funnell
13 February 2016 (Saturday)
Nothing enhances a lovely pendant more than a handmade chain to complement it, which is why we have Senior Art Clay Instructor Joy Funnell here to show you how!
Chain making is fun, but does require a bit of patience! On this one day workshop we will explore a variety of techniques for making chain links using silver wire, Art Clay Silver, and a combination of the two. You will make a selection of different links so that you go away armed and ready with the techniques to create your very own unique chains. From creating in metal clay and soldering wire, to bashing things with a hammer, this will be a fun and varied day for all.
Whilst this can be taken as an independent class, why not join it as a follow on from Joy’s Porcelain Illusions Workshop (11-12 Feb) giving you a 3-day Art Clay bonanza! As a special bonus, those signing up for both Joy’s classes will receive 20g of Art Clay Silver.
Use of tools and equipment, 20g Art Clay Silver, silver wire and assorted silver findings are included in the class fee. A light lunch and refreshments will also be provided.
Skill Level: Previous metal clay experience advantageous
