Our moulds are hand-made and therefore the dimensions may vary from those shown. Please measure your mould before cutting your glass.

With this mould you can make casting samples from frit, crushed glass, or other small components without having to cast a refractory mould beforehand. The smooth inside of the mould will give you a shiny surface on the finished piece. Also ideal from prefabricating components from frit etc. to be further used in fused or cast work.

The recommended firing chart will lead to a smooth piece of glass with a glossy surface. The finished piece will shrink somewhat, depending on the amount of glass used. Some coldworking on the edges with a diamond pad may be necessary.

By lowering the temperature to a sinter firing (approx. 720°C) the piece will shrink less and have a rougher ‘Sugary’ look like pâte-de-verre.
